The "Healthy Community Development " Mini-Grant was established by the NJ Department of Health & Senior Services' Office of Nutrition & Fitness and the NJ Council on Physical Fitness and  Sports.  This office coordinates the state-wide   partnership for nutrition, physical activity & obesity. In 2010 we were generously awarded $10,000.  This grant created a schoolyard garden and 2 fitness clusters.

 The EJ Garden Team thanks you for your letters of support

The "Healthy Community Development" Mini-Grant's  project goals include;

creating environments where healthy eating & physical activity opportunities are

              available, affordable, culturally appropriate and easy.
